About the Friends

We are an official 501(c)(3) Non-Profit team of volunteers founded in February 2026. Our purpose is to support the Cache County Library through fundraising, public education campaigns, advocating for library funding, and implementing projects that enrich the programming and materials offered by the Library Director and staff.

We meet monthly with the Library Director to assess the needs of the library, make plans to fill them, and connect with volunteers and partners in the community.

Membership Program

We are in the process of creating an annual membership program for patrons to subscribe to which will provide extra funding and support for the library. Our goal will be to create rewards and incentives for members such as early access to book sales and special programming. All proceeds will be distributed solely to purchase necessary items as requested by the Library Director.

Limited Life-Span Acknowledgment 2026

We recognize that our organization has a limited life-span based on the future funding of the library. In the possible event that the library closes, we would transition to helping the Library Director with the large and urgent task of closing down. If Providence City adopts the library, we plan to transition to a new name, potentially known as Friends of Providence Library, and continue our efforts. Any funds, memberships, or partnerships would be directed towards supporting the new library. In the event that the library closes, all funds collected would be donated appropriately with public knowledge.
